At the end of July we were off to compete with the USA High Performance team, representing the Chesapeake Region. After tryouts earlier this year, 10 of our elite volleyball players in the youth division (15/16) traveled to the High Performance National Tournament held this year at Dells in Wisconsin. The CHRVA team competed against  tough regional teams from New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Northern California, Oklahoma, Iowa, and North Carolina.

After four days of highly competitive play and more than nine matches (approximately 35 games), the Chesapeake Region captured the GOLD! This is the best performance of the Chesapeake Region in its history. Great coaching was provided by Doug English. Charles Ezigbo has been a tireless advocate for CHRVA. This key win will significantly increase the visibility of the region on a National level and open up other opportunities for our Region's volleyball players. Great job by all players to earn this National recognition and award!
