Featured Recipe:
Stuffed Acorn
Squash
(vegan, gf)
Before baking
Ingredients:

3 acorn squash

2 tbsp margarine, softened

2 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, minced

2 stalks celery, diced

2 apples, chopped

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup raisins

1/4 tsp parsley

1 tsp dried sage

1 tsp rosemary

1 tsp thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

Slice each acorn squash in half and remove the seeds.

Simple, seasonal, & scrumptious!

Brush the squash with the softened margarine and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté the onion, celery and apple in

the olive oil for 6-8 minutes.

Reduce heat and add the maple syrup, raisins, herbs, salt and pepper and stir to combine.

In a large bowl, mix together the onion, celery and apple mixture until well combined. Spoon this mix into each squash half. Cover each squash with foil.

Bake 40-45 minutes, or until squash is soft.

Savor & Enjoy!

Congratulations
To the newly weds!

Attitude of Gratitude
Autumn Trees

As we enter the time of Thanksgiving, we'd like to thank each and everyone of you who has supported merge over the last 3 years!  We are happy to report that we're growing and thriving. We have added a full bar with cocktails, personalized catering options, and we're working with Buffalo Yoga to offer healthy empowerment cleanses and class on alternative health through nutrition and movement.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.  It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."

- Melody Beaty

Featured Artist:
Kenneth Loncke

Ken is a local architect who happens to work upstairs from merge.  We feel blessed to have him in our presence, as he emanates a deep peace where ever he goes.  His collection includes inspired paintings and photography of angels he sees in clouds.  We thought his very spiritual approach to artwork was  appropriate for the magical holiday season.

Kenneth is also putting together a calendar of his artwork that will be sold at merge, with proceeds going to a non-profit that will feed the hungry.  They make a fantastic holiday gift for your loved ones.

Come meet Kenneth during the Allentown First Fridays Opening

Friday, December 2nd from 5pm - 7pm

We'll have free appetizers and his calendars and artwork available for purchase.

His artwork will be shown Tuesday, 11/29 - Saturday 12/31.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to catch up with us.  We are so grateful for the amazing community here in Buffalo including you - all our family and friends!

Sincerely,
