Americans are suffering from a lack of sleep, and new research out of Oregon State University suggests that exercise may help you sleep better and feel more rested during the day. We also share an interesting new ruling from the FAA to cut down on pilot sleepiness and improve passenger airline safety.

New Study: Those Who Exercise Sleep Better and Feel More Rested
A new study out of Oregon State University suggests that regular physical exercise may encourage better sleep and less daytime fatigue. For the survey, more than 2,600 men and women between the ages of 18 and 85 had their activity levels measured, and answered questions about sleep.

FAA Passes Rule to Avoid Pilot Sleepiness
In December, the Federal Aviation Administration passed a ruling that will require passenger airlines to limit the amount of time their pilots fly. According to the new ruling, the maximum amount of time pilots can be scheduled to fly is limited to eight or nine hours, and pilots would get a minimum of 10 hours to rest between duty periods.
