Greetings!

Just like to jog your memories about the Midland Pen Show in Lichfield on Sunday 24th -
full details if you click above, and I hope to see you there.

Talking about jogging, thanks to all of you who sponsored my "Man vs Horse" run for the Shrewsbury International Street Theatre Festival.  It took me 4 hours 25 minutes.  By the end I was tired but happy.

News about an interesting and inexpensive - as these things go - limited edition from Omas - have a look below. We've also expanded our range of notebooks to include Monsieur Notebooks - good solid leather bound books at a reasonable price.

Best wishes

John

Omas Ogiva
A bit unfair to lead on the same brand twice running, but they have
Ogiva Green
Omas Ogiva
produced a limited edition of their famous "Ogiva" pen.  It is a translucent resin pen, and a piston filler.  And I've got a couple with the Omas 14ct "Extra Flessible" nib - a treat for some!

We have been delighted by the success of Omas so far, and by the exceptionally good feedback we have had about them.

They tell me that the edition is limited to 150 pens worldwide, and it is priced at a fairly reasonable £399.

No surprise that it's not the sort that swans around scoffing Ferrero Rocher chocs, but the
well respected German pen manufacturer.   Although not hugely well known in Britain, they have
been making pens since 1922.  Initial impressions are very favourable - all have a metal barrel, and look
to be impressively well made.  The feature a really smooth steel nib or, for the top range Elegance
series, a 14 carat gold option.

Take a look at them on the website. On the whole they are conservatively styled, but there are
some surprises.  We haven't got the full range available immediately, but delivery is pretty good.

Monsieur Notebooks
A new range of leather bound notebooks hits the market!  They smell right, are well bound,
and come in A4 - A6 sizes, and are available in lots of lovely colours.  Costing from £10 - £22, they're not going to break the bank, either.  We've got them on the website - to see more just click!  You can also see a video review later this afternoon on the website.

Shrewsbury Man Weds!
Jonathan and AnnaThose of you lucky enough to be able to visit the shop will know Jonathan, the Manager.  He got married Anna Marie in May, and Mrs H and I were invited.

It was a wonderful and happy occasion, as you can see from the photo, and a priviledge to be present at the wedding of these two young people, both of whom have contributed to the Write Here experience (Anna has a big role in dressing the window at Christmas and on special occassions.  I have to pay Jonathan, but he's worth it!)

They honeymooned in Venice.

Good wishes to both of them!

Since the last newsletter, we've been to Shetlands (perfect weather while, I gather, the rest of Britain sweltered) and the organisers of the most enjoyable Man vs Horse race managed to sneak it in on the one good day for several weeks - well done!  Thanks again to all of you who sponsored me.

Midland Pen Show in Lichfield on Sunday, click here for full details. I'll be there with lots of nice pens.
