Greetings!
These newsletters are a bit like buses - you don't get one fpr ages, and suddenly three come along at once. At least that's what happened last time.
I'm a bit up against it in terms of tine this month, bhut so much has happened recently I'm keen to let you know what's been going on. There are exciting new pens from Visconti, including the Diamond Jubilee pens, and a new brand from Italy, Omas. Splendid stuff.
We've also got a new member of staff working on the website. Pete has only been with us for a couple of weeks, but has achieved more than I have all year so far.
Best wishes
John

Omas

Omas - a great name in pens, but hard to get hold of in Britain in recent years. This seemed a shame so, to cut a long story short, I went off to Bologna in Northern Italy accomanied by my daughter Isobel, to have a look at them. It came as no great surprise that I liked them a lot, with the result that, if you come into the shop you'll see a good selection of them, but if you want to just window shop visit the website. As a good salesman, I should summarise the benefits of the product, which are that they are traditional but stylish and innovative, beautifully made, reassuringly expensive, exclusive and reassuringly expensive and, in my view most important, a real joy to use.

Dobbin's revenge
| Rumours of my failing sanity received a boost recently when I decided to run the annual Man vs Horse Marathon at Llanwrtyd Wells, Mid Wales. in support of the Shrewsbury International Street Theatre Festival. It's a free, three day event which brings some of the top names in street entertainment to Shrewsbury, along with about 30,000 visitors. It is a great boost to the town, and probably one of the few times that Shrewsbury really lets it's hair down.
It's always a struggle to get funding, and this year is harder than most. But, if we don't keep it going, we'll lose something very special.
So, if you're calling at the shop, there'll be a colection box. Otherwise, I'm happy to receive any sort of contribution posted to the shop (cheques to SISTF) and, if anyone asks, I'll try to sort something out through the website.
By the way, I'm neither the good looking one or the the one in the horse costume.

Scala
| We're running a special offer on the elegant new Lamy Scala! Buy the fountain pen, and we'll give you 30% off the cost of the equally elegant ballpoint. Again, click here to be transported magically to the website!
I'm sure you'll also notice another good offer on our already reasonably priced Lamy 2000 series - I like the fountain pen so much I've got two of them.

The next news letter will probably be out before the Midland Pen Show in Lichfield, but it does no harm to mention it early. For full de you probably can guess what to do. tails
Mrs H and I are off for a few days on and around Shetland. Nice!!
Best wishes,
John |

This is the fine print text where you might tell your customers how the item will be shipped and, for example, if they are overseas that there will be additional shipping charges and must contact you.
