| Dickerson Is Open! |
 As of January 21, 2010, the Mirant Dickerson Whitewater Course is now open on weekends to BCE Members! All paddlers must be escorted to the whitewater course by the entrance-gate guards, so please try to coordinate your schedules with other paddlers to minimize the intrusion on the Mirant Staff. Remember, current BCE Membership with a Dickerson Whitewater Access Card isrequired for all paddlers' access. All updates to Dickerson Whitewater Course access will be posted to the BCE website as soon as they are available. |

| 2010 Membership Renewal Information |

Please remember to renew your BCE membership early this winter, to allow ample time for card processing before you anticipate going to Dickerson. We ask that you are patient while we mail them out as we tend to handle BCE cards on Friday each week.
When applying for your card it is important to provide accurate and up to date information. Fill out the online form and make sure you make notes about the cards you wish to receive or any special instructions on mailing or card pick up. For getting multiple cards, it is best if a form is filled out for each individual needing a card, you can submit the forms to us online without using Pay Pal. You can pay altogether on the final card entry.
On your first visit to the course please this year, please bring a new signed Mirant Athlete waiver with you to the gate and hand it to the guard. Drive slowly, try to do exactly as the guards ask, and be polite and respectful.

| Volunteer Service |
 The BCE is a volunteer based organization. In return for a discounted membership, BCE members are expected to provide 12 hours of service to the BCE. If at any time you'd like to opt out of your volunteer duties, we ask you to make a $50 donation to the BCE marked as "opt out." There is a lot to be done in service of our membership, our team, and our facilities. Homestay hosts, fundraising assistance, gate judges, timers, training course maintenance, are all integral to our organization. So please, mark your calender now to volunteer at one of our exciting events.
