Independent Bank Series
The three events below are part of the Independent Bank Series. The package price for these three events is just $77 per person!
IN THE MOOD Saturday, November 20, 2010 7:30 pm $34/$24 Student
Take a sentimental journey back in time with the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, and others. More than a concert, IN THE MOOD is a Big Band Theatrical Swing Revue featuring the IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The music and arrangements, 1940s-era costumes and choreography are as authentic as it gets. Enjoy an evening filled with the music that set the mood for a future filled with promise, hope and prosperity.

 Spectrum Brass Quintet Friday, January 14, 2011 7:30 pm $20/$5 Student
Enjoy a memorable evening where a brass quintet commands the stage with power and grace, a concert pianist displays dazzling virtuosity, and a soprano sweetly sings heartfelt songs. Featuring the music of George Gershwin, Spectrum's live performances are engaging, exciting and filled with musical artistry and energy. The concert will also feature the award-winning Charlotte HS Symphony Band performing the Michigan premiere of a commissioned piece by composer Jim Stephenson with the quintet.

An Evening with Kathy Mattea Friday, April 15, 2011 7:30 pm $35/$25 Student
In an evening filled with her classic hits such as "18 Wheels and A Dozen Roses" and "Where're You Been" the beloved multi-Grammy winning singer will also perform selected songs from her latest CD, COAL. Mattea is a repeat winner of the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year award and her fusion of country, bluegrass, gospel, and Celtic music has earned her sixteen Top Ten songs, including "Goin' Gone," "Come From the Heart," "Burnin' Old Memories" and others.

contemporary dance company, the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble has received
overwhelming critical acclaim across the nation. In a special return engagement, the company
will present a split program featuring its favorite works from the past
twenty years and selections from its "Dances from the Heart of Rock 'n Roll"
repertoire. The company will also
perform a special work featuring the top dancers from various local dance
studios.
