Many Catholics would love to make Scripture part of their lives-but they don't know where to begin! Some Catholics join Bible studies in other churches-and wonder about the Catholic approach to Scripture. Come learn about the wonderful Bible study resources available to Catholics, and how to use them, including: · Choosing a Bible. · Introductory books about the Bible to help you get started. · Resources for reading the Sunday readings. · Resources for praying with the Bible. · Good Bible commentaries for Catholics. · A four-step approach to deepen your understanding and experience of Scripture.

Carol Kloss, M.A. Biblical Studies Carol Kloss, instructor in the new Biblical Institute of the Dioceseof Joliet and former director of the Chicago Catholic Scripture School,has been teaching the Bible to Catholics in the Chicago area forseveral years. She has taught all 73 books of the Bible. Her specialtyis helping adult Catholics make the Bible their book.

This September, the Diocese of Joliet opens a new Biblical Institute site at St. Petronille Parish in Glen Ellyn. If you're interested in learning the Bible, but aren't sure if this is the program for you, join us for BIDJ Preview Night. You'll learn a lot about this great program-and a few things about Catholic Bible study that will help your experience of Scripture right now. Jesus invited potential disciples to "come and see." We invite you to "come and see" if BIDJ is what you need to deepen your relationship with Scripture and with Christ. When: Wednesday, June 23 7:00-8:30 p.m. Where: St. Isidore (Church large meeting room) 427 W. Army Trail Rd. Bloomingdale This event is FREE!
