Make Yourself a Priority
As the summer winds down, the weather cools and the leaves begin to change. Students return to school and we all catch up on work after various "staycations" or vacations. People and nature downshift to a restorative time of nurturing and cultivation. During this season, think of ways you and Apothecary Wellness can help restore and nurture you.
Do you need to address a specific issue such as neck and shoulder tension from working at your computer? Look into our Apothecary Wellness Program for monthly massages. Regular massage can help not only the chronic tension but also decrease your over-all stress level.
Or if you just need a chance to get away and breathe for an hour or two you could try one of our packages combining therapeutic massage and organic skin care, or one of our new organic body polish treatments.
The bottom line here is to not forget about you. In order to work and play and do all the things we love (and some we don't) we must maintain our own health and general wellness. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

| Support ALS Foundation |
As some of you know Christine's mom, Carol Wahl, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) in December of 2008. Christine has been caring for her mom since June, moving her from San Diego to Baltimore to get the care and help she needs. Now we need your help. The Apothecary Wellness team is walking in the Walk to Defeat ALS on October 17, 2009 at Druid Hill Park. We'd love for you to be a part of our team, weather it's coming out to walking with us or just a donation. We are also selling wristbands at the studio for $2.00 each to support the ALS Foundation. To pledge your support, read about what an amazing woman Carol is, or join our team please visit http://fightals.alsinfo.org/goto/Carol.Wahl |
