Tradition
Thanksgiving is based on tradition. Sometimes the way we celebrate the day is passed down through generations.
Brogie's Tavern is based on a tradition of family and friends gathering around a table to enjoy a good meal, sharing stories and laughter. These are all memories worth remembering and passing along. If by chance this is your first time preparing the annual time-honored feast, and you're looking for a recipe or need cooking tips, we've included a few links to help you along, just like mom and grandmom did for us!

Serving Up the Pigskin
Football on Thanksgiving Day is as big a part of the celebration as pumpkin pie and turkey. Dating back to 1876 and the first intercollegiate football game held on Thanksgiving, traditional holiday game rivalries have become so significant that a reporter once described Thanksgiving as "a holiday granted by the State and the Nation to see a game of football." Brogie's Tavern recognizes the importance of being able to watch the game of your choice. That's why we feature a spacious area on our lower level with numerous large flat screen televisions which surround the room. It's designed for your pleasure. Have a drink. Eat great food. Watch the game with friends. We won't see you for the Thanksgiving festivities, but there's always the Superbowl. Don't miss out! See you soon.

Music as the Spice
Growing up as one of "Brogie's kids," you learned about the importance of music in life. We were taught to appreciate music as the reward at the end of the day. If life was good, it only got better when the music was present. Therefore, at Brogie's Tavern, there will be music throughout the building. Our lower level also offers the potential for live music venues.
We thank the family that instilled an appreciation for the simple pleasures and beauty that life offers in the people and natural surroundings we encounter on a daily basis. We're sure you'll understand why we chose the Shenandoah Valley area to establish Brogie's Tavern when you visit us.
Take the time to enjoy the day and share the moment. Happy Thanksgiving!
