WHY SHOP LOCALLY OWNED?
Keep It Local!

With all the new students and full-time residents coming back into the city this month, we thought it would be a good time to remind folks why it is important to shop at locally owned businesses.

FEATURED FARM OF THE MONTH
Stillman's Farm of New Braintree, MA
Stillmans Farmers
Family owned and operated Stillman's Farm was started by Glenn Stillman over 20 years ago in Lunenburg, MA, and expanded to New Braintree, MA in 1991.

The whole family is involved over at Stillman's! Glenn's daughter, Kate, and her husband, Aidan, run "Stillmans at the Turkey Farm." Curtis, Glenn's son, is developing orchards, and his wife Genevieve keeps busy coordinating the markets, website, and CSAs.

Stillman's describes their combination of organic and IPM practices with their label, "Conscientiously Grown", reflecting their commitment to safely growing the best selection and quality of produce, with respect for the earth and their customers.

Here's an idea of what's growing at Stillmans this month: Blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, lettuce, field tomatoes, corn, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, cabbage, peaches, eggplant, peppers, melons, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, apples, red peppers, onions, potatoes, and winter squash! How's that for selection?!

City Feed has been working with Stillmans to bring you fresh, local produce ever since we got started on Boylston Street back in 2000!

Visit the Stillmans at the JP Farmer's Market (Bank of America parking lot) on Tuesdays 12-5 and Saturdays 12-3!
Enjoy their produce all week long at City Feed and Supply!
