FEATURED FARM OF THE MONTH Applefield Farm of Stow, MA
Applefield Farm is a family owned and operated business located in Stow, MA. The farm started in 1981 when husband and wife, Steve and Kristen Mong purchased a tractor and began taking care of a small apple orchard and some nearby fields. Steve's brother, Ray (pictured on the right), joined the farm a few years later and has since become the head vegetable grower.
Applefield Farm is a 25 acre diversified farm with 20,000 square feet of greenhouses. They specialize in beans, herbs, tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, flowers and raspberries for picking. They practice general organic growing methods in the field, and conventional growing in their greenhouses.
Look for Applefield Farm's greens, beets, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, beans, peppers and more at City Feed this growing season!
