"Building Bridges" Art Celebration & Auction is The Arc's largest fundraiser. With more than 100 pieces of professionally framed artwork, numerous exciting auction packages and a prestigious dinner & awards ceremony, "Building Bridges" has become a highly anticipated and increasingly successful affair.

We need help during these three shifts: 

October 4, 4pm-10:30pm (shifts flexible)

Help us transport all of our precious art and auction items from our main office to the Hilton Austin and then join us in decorating our event space. 

Location: The Arc's Main Office (2818 San Gabriel) and The Hilton Austin (500 E 4th Street)

Oct 5, 10am-4pm (shifts flexible)

Help set up the event space, arrange auction items, stuff goodie bags, placing signage and more!

Oct 5, 4pm-10:30pm

Help us run the show! Volunteers are needed to greet guests, run registration, help with the silent & live auction, assist guests to their car and more!

Dress: Black bottoms (slacks or a skirt) and a white top.

This year's annual "Building Bridges" Art Celebration & Auction 

explores the theme of paradise and brings the community together to fulfill the dreams of so many deserving people. "Building Bridges" allows Arc artists to personally showcase and sell their artwork alongside renowned regional artists during silent and live auctions. The highlight of the evening will be two selected Arc artists painting their personal vision of paradise for guests.

Established more than 60 years ago, The Arc has been offering a variety of services including Family and Caregiver Support, Intake and Referral, Juvenile Justice, Adult Case Management, as well as Basic Needs and Crisis Assistance. In 2008, the award-winning Arc of the Arts program was founded to give students an environment in which to express their artistic and musical creativity, as well as learn important job skills training. 

The funds raised during "Building Bridges" assist us in providing emotional, social, financial, and educational support to thousands of individuals of all ages and ethnicities with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout their lives.  Our commitment to these special people is infinite.
