 Respite Childcare
When: The 2nd Saturday of the month: June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, from 10am-2pm at the Easter Seals, Building 2 ( 1611 Headway Circle)
Volunteer Need: Provide childcare while caregivers receive a much-needed break. First time volunteers need to arrive at 9am to attend the 1-hour training.

 Bowling
When: The 2nd Wednesday of every month 2pm-6pm at Dart Bowl ( 5700 Grover Ave.) Volunteer Need: Come help out with this fun
client social event! We are looking for 2-3 volunteers who could attend
on a regular basis. Help clients bowl, navigate the payment/shoe
check-out process and enjoy getting to know some great people.

 Movie Night
When: The 4th Wednesday of every month 3:30pm-8pm at the Arc of the Arts Studio & Gallery ( 6717 Burnet Road) Volunteer Need: This is a great opportunity to get to know our very special clients. We are looking for two to three volunteers to help our case managers run movie night. Duties include serving pizza, playing board games and keeping clients company.

 Arc of the Arts Program: Calling All Artists!
When: Every Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30am-2pm at the Arc of the Arts Studio & Gallery (6717 Burnet Road)
Volunteer Need: We are looking for creative individuals to work one on one with a student with a developmental disability to create beautiful artwork. Past artists have worked with paint, pottery, photography, crafts and fabric. Share your creative passion with a very special person!
TRAINING: Effective Oct. 15: All volunteers need to be signed up for an Arc of the Arts training in order to continue volunteering. Training will be held June 29 from 6pm-8pm at the Arc of the Arts Studio & Gallery.

 Arc of the Arts: Calling All Musicians!
When: Every Tuesday from 9:30am-2pm at the Arc of the Arts Studio & Gallery (6717 Burnet Road)
Volunteer Need: Arc of the Arts is looking for individuals interested in music and movement to increase our client's knowledge and appreciation of music and movement. Could you teach us about an instrument, a style of dance, or your favorite musician?

Internship opportunities: The Arc offers a variety of internships in case management, juvenile justice services, events, public relations and marketing.

| Office Help
When: Every week, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm at The Arc of the Capital Area ( 2818 San Gabriel) Volunteer Need: Volunteers are needed to assist Arc staff with filing, data entry and other administrative tasks. We are also looking for volunteers with a graphic design background who can help us create brochures and marketing materials. Volunteering in our office helps ensure that The Arc's resources can be dedicated to serving our clients and their families. |
