Dear ,
We are pleased to announce that beginning the first week of April we added a new email
security encryption feature on all outgoing emails. This is just another step that we have taken to safeguard your personal information.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) defines identity theft as a fraud committed or attempted using the identifying information of another person without authority. It is estimated that 9 million Americans have their identities stolen each year. There is no-fool proof way to avoid identity theft, but there are steps we all can take to decrease our chances of becoming victims*.
Our new Email Encryption feature is a compliance requirement that adds another layer of protection for all electronically transmitted messages containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to, social security numbers, LPL account numbers, drivers license numbers, and dates of birth. Our security software is run by ERADO, who has been a leader in
providing SaaS based message archiving, compliance, and security products and
services since 1994. What to Expect If our email to you has been encrypted, the Subject Line of our message will say, "Secure Message from <our name> to <your name>", and will have our logo in the header of the message. You will be asked to click on a link to retrieve your message. You will enter in your email address and the
specific "passphrase"listed at the bottom of the email. The passphrase
will typically be 5 digits in length and can be a combination of letters and
numbers. You do NOT have to register, create an account, or input a personal password; simply enter your email address and the passphrase provided. Once you have successfully entered your email address and the
passphrase, the contents of our email to you will be displayed. If you have trouble opening or receiving future emails from our
office, please contact us at (760) 943-0430.
