In these last few weeks of April, KiptonART will be hosting two major exhibition openings.  This Thursday, April 22, artist Alexander Charriol in displaying his new series of monumental paintings "The Human Flow" at 4 East 27th St. RSVP here.  On April 28 come to the impressive KiptonART Access Pop Up Soho space to attend the opening of "Urban Utopia", exhibiting art by twelve KiptonART artists at 32 Greene St. Click to RSVP. In the past week KiptonART attended the YoungARTs eventin New York, while hosting one in Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour, Florida for artist Vincent Edmond Louis.  May's Architectural Digesta six page spread of violinists Joshua Bell's home with two of KiptonART's artists gracing the pages: Paul Sefteland Gavin Zeigler. Two new contributors, Shannon Gulliver and Kate Gibbshave written stories on the latest Phillips de Puryauction and the Yves Saint-Laurent Retrospectivein Paris. Before April ends check out a few of The Alliance for the Arts late month art picksin New York, and purchase tickets for the upcoming NYC Symposium for Social Change event.

This Thursday, April 22nd, Alexander Charriol with KiptonART and Whitewall Magazine will be hosting the opening of his new series, "Human Flow."  In the one-month exhibit, staged in an incredible pop-up gallery at 4 East 27th street in New York City, Charriol promises to startle his audience.  The opening is from 6-9pm.

Urban Utopia InviteKiptonART Access Event: "Urban Utopia"Exhibition Opening

On Thursday, April 28th from 6:00 - 9:00pm, KiptonART will present "Urban Utopia" at 32 Greene Street in Soho.  Curators Heidi Lee, Karline Moeller and Anastasia Rogers selected twelve promising young artists including:  Michael Chiarello, Julie Combal, Jade Doskow, Ula Einstein, Melissa Fleming, Sabina Forbes II, Stephan Fowlkes, James Kennedy, Avery McCarthy, David Mellen, Matthew Satz and Erica Simone.

Gustaf Demarchelier graduated from Pepperdine University and grew up in a family with artistic talent, he is the son of famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier.  Gustaf gave KiptonART his insight on art and style.

Karline MoellerMeet One of KiptonART's CURATORS: Karline Moeller
Independent Curator

Karline co-owned Moeller Snow Gallery until the gallery closed in March 2009.  Before opening the gallery in New York, Karline worked in the Contemporary Art department at Sotheby's.  In January 2010, Karline and Casey Fremont co-curated a show called "Look Again" at Marlborough Gallery Chelsea.

Benrimon Contemporary is a new gallery in Chelsea that opened on April 8th with its' inaugural show "Roy Lichtenstein: Homage to Monet".  One of KiptonART's Rising 2010 finalists, Shay Kun recently received gallery representation by Benrimon.

This past Thursday KiptonART partnered with SAKS Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour, Florida, The City of Bal Harbour, Miami Magazine and ONE Bal Harbour Resort and Spa to celebrate the art of fashion and photography with an exhibit of twenty works by artist Vincent Edmond Louis.  The party was a great success, with art sales and enjoyment had by all attending including Richard Martin, Sarah Arison, Carlos Suarez, Nick D'Annunzio, Akbar Hamid, Debi Wechlser, Brett Emory Sokol, Mo Akbar, Leslie Wolfson, Tara Solomon, Carolyn Travis, Marcia Martinez, Lana Bernstein, Florent Gateau and Aaron Glickman

Kate DavisEvent Recap: "Celebrate YoungArts"

On Wednesday April 14th, YoungArts In the Studio chairs Sarah Arison and Nikki Brown hosted Celebrate YoungArts in the DTR Modern Gallery's new Soho space.  The evening was centered around the smooth vocal talents of 2009 YoungArts winner in Jazz and Presidential Scholar Kate Davis.  The guests took in the works of art by Damien Hirst and Hunt Slonem, while bidding on dazzling jewelry provided by Mikimoto.

Yves Saint-LaurentYves Saint-Laurent Retrospective in Paris

This trip to one of the most inspiring cities provided some much anticipated pleasure with an especially satisfying exhibition by the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation at the Petit Palais.  Carla Bruni-Sarkozy provided her support to another example of her notably discreet style in this first retrospective ever of Yves Saint Laurent´s entire oeuvre curated by Florence Muller and Farid Chenoune.
