Q:Who/What is your biggest influence or inspiration right now?
For the upcoming show "Human Flow" my fascination has been on crowds. How people react, how they operate in crowds. How people can gather for one cause under a single influence yet come from different backgrounds.

Q: How would you describe the work your gallery specializes in?

I specialize in emerging photographers and artists that work on paper.  Most of the work I represent has a strong conceptual element and fine craftsmanship.  I think there is a relationship between all the varied work I show due to my personal aesthetic and taste.

Master of capturing smoke upon a canvas, 2010 Rising Artist Winner Matthew Satz is displaying 23 works of art at 34 Greene Street, a private penthouse in Soho.   Private viewings can be made by contacting Zev.Eisenberg@KiptonART.com

The work at the Soho Penthouse represents several bodies of work that I have been developing over the last decade.  Smoke paintings, strip paintings, and by-products have all evolved from a determination to find intelligent and elegant solutions to challenges posed by a history of painting.- Matthew Satz

BaradaranAmir Baradaran, "The Other Artist is Present"

In KiptonART's last newsletter Sarah Basile covered the opening of Marina Abramovic's latest performance piece "The Artist is Present", currently being held at New York City's MOMA. The exhibit allows viewers to interact with the silent Marina by sitting at a table across from where she sits. Artist Amir Baradaran successfully sneaks in multiple cameras and documents his emotional experience in four short clips. There are messages in every action.  Clearly Abramovic understands all he is conveying as her strong reactions are caught by the hidden cameras.
