FPA of Michigan NEWSbrief
February/2010
President's Message
By Sandra D. Adams, CFP®
2010 FPA of Michigan President
Sandy Adams
I am very honored and excited to be serving in the role of president of the FPA of Michigan for 2010.  We have several new board members that are already proving to bring new ideas and new energy to our Chapter.  We have many new events and activities that we hope will excite and engage you this year.  Our goal is to bring real value to all of our members...but we can't do it alone!

"Do One Thing."  You will hear this phrase throughout the year.  Making real and meaningful change can be overwhelming...unless we all commit to taking small actions toward common goals.  I am challenging each of you to commit to One Thing in 2010 to help foster the value of financial planning and advance the financial planning profession and to support the work of the FPA of Michigan.

What will your "One Thing" be?  Will you join a committee?  To view a list of committees, click here.  Will you attend a Chapter event if you have never done so before?  Will you volunteer for an upcoming Junior Achievement pro bono event?  Will you recommend a sponsor for our Chapter?  Will you volunteer to be a buddy for a new member?

We will be providing tools, ideas, and opportunities for you to participate in the FPA of Michigan this year.  Watch upcoming newsletters, visit our new website (www.fpami.com), and look for sign-up sheets at upcoming events.  If you live outside if the metro Detroit area, we are particularly interested in hearing from you and look forward to you helping us develop quality programs in your area!

We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event.  Don't be surprised if we ask...what's your One Thing?  After all, one thing leads to another!
