GeoPrac is Twittering
Greetings!
 This month marks the first GeoTweets so to speak! GeoPrac now has an account on Twitter (geoprac). You can use it as an alternative to the RSS feeds to find out when new content is posted, but I have also started using it as a micro-blog to supplement the regular news posts on GeoPrac and as a means of communicating with members and visitors. Drop me a tweet! I also posted a new Widget. Grab the embed code for your Blogspot, WordPress, Facebook, or even MySpace. Or add it to your iGoogle homepage. AZ SR87 Landslide Presentation 
In March of 2008, a large landslide occurred on Arizona SR87. At a recent transportation conference in Tucson, representatives of AECOM presented on the geology, temporary stabilization and permanent stabilization measures for the slide. Check out my summary of the project based on the excellent presentation. |

JTFAP Document Under Review
 A document entitled " Engineering and Geology Practice Guidelines" has
been prepared by the JTFAP or Joint Task Force on Areas of Practice.
The JFTAP was comprised of representatives from The American Institute
of Professional Geologists (AIPG), the Association of Environmental and
Engineering Geologists (AEG) and the Geo-Institute (G-I) of the
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Be sure to educate yourself on the contents of this important document, and stay tuned to GeoPrac for the latest developments. |
