Window Display:

Main Stree Leasing agreed to allow the use of the vacant window next to Julianne's Coastal Cottage at no cost to MDVMBA. Julie agreed to Chair the window display initiative and decorate the window. Please contact Julie if you have any great display ideas. We will display MDVMBA accomplishments and use collateral to inform the public of what MDVMBA is doing and possibly gain new merchant members who are not aware of our efforts.

Banners

Simple branding 2x4 banner purchased for use in our window display and to take to events for our table set ups - Banner has "Mount Dora Village Merchant and Business Association" at top; MDVMBA logo in center and "www.MtDora.org" at bottom.

Mount Dora Music Festival table display

Set up at Lakeside Inn included Dora Dollar prize drawing box to support email collection for future promotion. Over 200 emails were collected.

MDVMBA Banner, MDVMBA maps and MDVMBA member coupons were displayed.

Direct MDVMBA member benefit-Orlando Sentinel monthly wrap- Call out for monthly free MDVMBA member ads was successful . MDVMBA members not submitting copy still had their business listed. Our apologizes to PizzAmore for not being included on the MDVMBA member list.

2010 Mount Dora Music Festival:

The Feb 18 -21 event was sponsored with over $5000 worth of advertising to reach "Maestro sponsorship level" .

MDVMBA provided advertising support via our Feb wrap wth Orlando Sentinel, internet promotion, Daily Commercial ads and provided exclusive radio spots on WDBO, WMMO and K92FM

2010 Mount Dora City Celebrations:

MDVMBA is sponsoring the event with over $2000 worth of advertising plus a check for $250 to reach "Signature sponsorship level".

We will provide advertising on our March wrap wth Orlando Sentinel ,internet promotion and provide radio spots on WDBO, WMMO and K92FM

We receive:

MDVMBA logo placement on all ads

MDVMBA banner display at all 2010 events

250 character display in time capsule

20 pref seats at Mar 27th concert & Time Capsule dedication

10 VIP seats at Mar 27th concert w/reception

Many Items will be given away at our March general membership meeting

WLOQ Jazz

Campaigns discussed and found to be too costly to incorporate into our general marketing campaign for 2010. Demographic looks favorable to Mount Dora and it is recommended that WLOQ be looked at again prior to setting the 2011 MDVMBA marketing campaign.

350project.net program

A couple members were approached to launch this local support initiative but seems stalled.Any members interested in leading this committee are encouraged to check out the website www.the350project.net and please contact me at janetcraigsells@comcast.net.

Kiosk Directory

A general directory pitched to city to be a cooperative effort between Chamber, MDVMBA and the City is underway.

MDVMBA will provide at no cost to the city a general walking directory based on the Chamber downtown walking map boundaries and schematic and businesses and locations will be color coded. Chamber will work with the city to keep businesses updated at no further cost to MDVMBA. Presented to city council by Janet Craig on Tues Feb 16 and approved. All three logos will appear on the directory. Target date for installation is before the city's Mar 25 birthday.

Turnpike Brochures

Generic Mount Dora brochures for turnpike rest areas was discussed with Cathy Hoescht of the Chamber. Cost for reprints will be investigated and MDVMBA will support the cost of the reprints cooperatively with the City and the Chamber.
