President-elect Abraham Lincoln's trip from Springfield, Illinois to Washington, DC.

| |
"President Lincoln" will be stopping in Philadelphia on February 22, 2011. There will be a parade to start off the celebration at 8:00 am at People's Plaza at 5th and Market Streets. The actual program will begin around 8:30 am on Chestnut Street across from Independence Hall.
The programming will feature acclaimed Lincoln actor Fritz Klein, who will present what Lincoln said in each community as he tried to reassure a nation on the verge of Civil War. The program will also include National Park Service Park Rangers who will supplement Lincoln's remarks with historical facts and stories. The program will also touch on how events of 150 years ago resonated through later generations up to and including today
Join us as we listen to the words that reassured a nation on the brink of war and watch as "President Lincoln" raises the 34 star flag over Independence Hall. A Q&A will follow the program at the National Constitution Center.
