Don't  Forget!

The  National Museum of American Jewish History
will be opening the doors to their $150 million, 100,000-square-foot building in the heart of historic Philadelphia to the public on Friday, November 26, 2010. It will be the only major museum in the nation dedicated solely to telling the story of the Jewish People in America.

"Standing directly across from the Liberty Bell, a block south of the National Constitution Center, and one block north of the birthplace of American liberty, Independence Hall, the Museum's inspiring new home will be a powerful testament to what all free people can accomplish, for themselves and society at large," said Michael Rosenzweig, NMAJH president and CEO.

Help us Help the Park

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) has begun and we could use your help!

If you are a Federal Employee, you know that the CFC was setup to help your favorite charities raise much needed funds by allowing you to contribute through your payroll deduction.

Last year alone, over $2,900,000 was raised to support charities localy, nationaly and internationally, all due to the wonderful support of federal employees.

The CFC helps non-profits like the Friends of Independence to raise funds that will allow us to continue to support the Best Park in History! and we could use your support to do this!

The CFC contribution timeline this year is October 21st through December 10th.  Please remember the Friends of Independence when you talk with your CFC coordinators.  Through your generosity, we can continue to support the Birthplace of America.
