Dear ,
We wanted to remind you that Festival Mozaic's first WinterMezzo Weekend is coming up on October 15-17. If you haven't reserved your tickets for this progressive musical weekend exploring French and English chamber music, there are still tickets left for each of these events:
On FRIDAY (6-7 p.m.), enjoy a complimentary glass of wine from one of Mozaic's favorite wineries as we listen to musicians' perspectives on the featured works in a one-hour Notable Encounter Insight. - On SATURDAY (6 p.m.), enjoy an evening of food, wine, music and interactive discussion with the musicians at the Notable Encounter Dinner in the stunning Avila Valley home of Lena and Gary Freidman.
- On SUNDAY (3 p.m.), hear it all come together at the WinterMezzo Concert, where the full works are performed.
Experience music from both sides of the Channel in these pieces by Frenchman Jean Françaix, a child prodigy who studied with the famous Nadia Boulanger; Gordon Jacob, who formed an orchestra while a prisoner of war during WWI; and Edward Elgar, the quintessential Englishman.
Françaix - Quintet for Clarinet and Strings Jacob - Quartet for Oboe and Strings Elgar - Piano Quintet in a, op. 84 (Listen)
We look forward to seeing you next weekend!
