This month (August 2012) I am very excited from what I have seen and heard regarding the progress, growth, and future development in all facets (development, industry, and community) of our wonderful city. There is so much positive buzz surrounding Kennedale nowadays it is thrilling to be a part of it all.
New and exciting things are happening within the Chamber specifically, a growing membership base, new ribbon cuttings, record setting Network Luncheons and Business After Hour numbers, considerable interest in the upcoming Kar Show, and a slew of fresh new community oriented ideas soon to be rolled out over the next few months. All of these endeavors stemming from the Chamber's Mission to link industry, community, and progress for the benefit and advancement of our distinctive city.
So keep an eye on the Chamber for exciting new developments on the horizon.

Saturday August 11th, 2012 - MCA's Annual FREE Skin Cancer Screening
Everyone is invited to Medical Center Arlington's annual FREE skin cancer screening this Saturday August 11th between 8:00am - 12:00pm at 3218 Omega Street, Arlington, TX.
There will be patient health info and giveaways for first 200 people.

Upcoming events we are looking forward to in Kennedale:
September 8th, 2012 - 5th Annual Kar Show. Free admission, Elvis, Vendors, and Fun!
An Events Meeting will be held Monday night August 13th - 6:00pm at the Chamber Office to discuss the Kar Show as well as other upcoming events. Feel free to come and participate.
Opportunities currently exist for volunteers to help set up (Friday evening) as well as take down (Saturday afternoon) before and after the event. "Business Spotlight" drawings are held at our chamber luncheon each month. The winner receives a specific business/bio profile in the Chamber Newsletter!
The award winning Kennedale High School Wildcat Band is currently raising money for new field amplification equipment in their pursuit of becoming a state finalist. To support the students and program with a donation please contact Lisa Smith at lrsmith58@sbcglobal.net.
