The MBBA supports the welfare of MacArthur Boulevard area businesses and promotes, develops and preserves MacArthur Boulevard as a desirable place to work, shop and live.
Monthly membership meetings present informative guest speakers on the 2nd Thursday at 7:30am at the American Red Cross on Outer Park Drive; members and neighbors are invited to attend. We also sponsor events such as the MacArthur Artists Market, Adopt-A-Street cleanup and other neighborhood events. The MBBA supports business-oriented issues before the Springfield City Council and works as a liaison between neighbors and business owners to help resolve issues. The MBBA has been instrumental in pursuing a redevelopment plan for MacArthur, and we are excited about partnering with businesses and property owners along MacArthur to implement the plan. Detailed plan information and documents to date can be found at http://thelakotagroup.com/macarthur/ It is very important that we have the support of area businesses, organizations and neighbors. By joining the MBBA, you are making an investment in the future of MacArthur that is worth the very reasonable cost.
Please renew your membership and ask your friends, neighbors and the businesses you patronize to join the MBBA.
