Subic Bay Children's Home Receives 100% of Your Donation
"A Paradise for the Kids"

Every week in our updates we will give you a little history of one of the children at the home.  This weeks child is Joseph Montoya.

Joseph Montoya was born June 9, 1998.  When Joseph was three months old he was left with a lady friend of a woman whom we are still not sure was Joseph's mother.  Joseph lived with this lady for three years until on February 22, 2002.

A concerned neighbor called the social services and police to report how Joseph had been receiving maltreatment from this lady.  When the social welfare together with the police came they found Joseph sleeping padlocked to a bamboo chair.  Joseph was brought to a children's home which (Praise God!) is a ministry of a fellow missionary couple.  Joseph was then three years old.

Our dear Missionary friend and his wife called us the and asked if we would take Joseph.  He has been with us since July 9, 2007 and has adjusted well.  He is doing well in school and we pray that he will be a God-fearing young man.

Christmas on its Way

Eight boxes full of Christmas gifts were shipped out last week with everything from Gameboys to guitars.  They should arrive in about 5 or 6 weeks.

Thanks to everyone who donated the many Christmas gifts.  The kids will be truly excited.  I will post pictures on our web site after Christmas.
