| November Recipe - Dr.Gillian's Tasty "Ladoo"   "Ladoo" is a "ball-shaped sweet popular in south Asian countries commonly served at festive occasions," per Wikipedia. Around Fern Life Center, we know them to be raw all-natural energy snacks! Also, I have to give credit where it's due: these ladoo were originally a recipe by Sarah Kruse, Ayurvedic maven par excellence.    Be sure to use organic ingredients if available!   1 cup of:             sesame seeds (or flax seeds, roughly ground)             sunflower seeds             coconut flakes, small size             chopped dates             honey               nut butter (almond or peanut)             optional: carob chips   2 tbspns of:             cinnamon             cardamon             fresh finely chopped ginger              pinch (or two): cayenne pepper, to warm up this winter season!    Wash hands. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl by kneading with bare hands. Roll into balls. Place on wax paper (so they don't all stick together) and refrigerate to firm them up.   That's it! Easy to make and healthy energy to eat!   |
