Flu Shot or Not?
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has a huge burden in responding to the ever growing population of viruses that can mutate right out of our latest treatment options. Of course the latest scare centers on the Swine Flu, or AH1N1. Naturally first and foremost it is important to the CDC that we do not repeat the 1918 global influenza pandemic that killed 40 million people (more than AIDS has killed over a 30 year period). Since 1918 we have had global pandemics predicted that never materialized, but the vaccinations used for these non-epidemics have killed and injured thousands.
People are faced with a tough choice right now...to vaccinate or not to vaccinate? The newest flu vaccinations have no longitudinal outcome studies to show efficacy right now. The magnitude of this immunization campaign is staggering. The taxpayer dollars going toward the marketing, the logistics of getting every health care provider mandatory immunizations, and the fact that there is no data to accurately predict an epidemic or pandemic can cause tens of thousands of casualties in the form of reactions and even deaths. There were an estimated 4,000 cases of permanent paralysis from Guillain Barre Syndrome caused by the 1976 Swine Flu vaccine inoculation program. The issue of mercury as a preservative in the vaccine has not been resolved, raising the possibility that toxic amounts of mercury (associated with neurological disorders such as autism) may be introduced to our nation's kids twice!
The folks who stand to win are those associated with the pharmaceutical industry. Not only do they stand to make millions of dollars, but they are protected from lawsuits from people who are injured or killed in this vaccination campaign. You, me and our grandchildren are going to be paying the cost of the 600 million doses of vaccine that will be added to our country's debt.
I am not willing to allow me or my family be guinea pigs in this inoculation program. I want to make sure that my family's and my client's immune systems are working well instead. We are made up of millions of microbes, not all of them are "good guys". We pick up hundreds more every time we touch a shopping cart, answer a phone or use a keyboard. If our immune systems work well we can live next to these microbes without harm. If we are immune-compromised from poor diet choices, stress, lack of sleep, inflammation or on multiple liver/kidney clogging medications, then we are more likely to be affected by a new virus. Ironically, it is these people who also suffer the worst side effects from the vaccinations.
Please protect your immune system! Make good choices...come into Fern Life Center and pick up our "cold and flu prevention" handout and really use it. Prevent the flu and protect your loved ones.
