Greetings!
As the summer comes to an end we learn that most construction sectors are forecast to decline this year. Perhaps no surprise, but it serves as a reminder that we need to be maximising our marketing effort. To help you we've included details of free seminars being run by EIS and if you have new starters joining this autumn why not send them on one of our sales and marketing training courses being run at the Building Centre in London.
Finally news of a limited opportunity. We are looking for just 10 companies who would like to get feedback from architects on their literature and web site. We will shortly be conducting research with 250 architects as part of a forthcoming report on the most effective communications channels. We intend to include some bespoke research providing confidential feedback to a maximum of 10 companies. If this is of interest to you there is more information on our web site. This is offered on a first come first served basis, so you will have to be quick! |
| State of the market report |
|
The latest state of the market report has been published by Construction News. This comprehensive report is available free of charge from their web site and gives regional and sector analysis. Based on Starts on site the figures show that only Education and Health will show year on year growth from 2007 to 2008. Overall construction activity will decline by 5.6%. The regions worst hit are Wales and Yorkshire & Humberside. Good news is that activity in the South West and East of England have actually risen.
