Shelton Financial Group Reaches Out to A Friend's
House:
A Community Safe Haven for Young Women
Shelton
Financial Group, an independent, locally owned financial planning firm,
recently donated $250 and needed pantry items to A Friend's House in Bluffton,
Ind.
"As a financial investment firm, we believe that one of the
best investments we can make is in our community charities," said Shelton
Financial Group President Jeff Shelton. "Young women from all over the United
States can come to this facility free-of-charge and rebuild their lives. I'm
proud to support this organization's efforts, and it is a tribute to the
community that we serve."
Shelton Financial Group primarily
serves families and individuals residing in Northeast Indiana. In fact, over
90% of their clients live within 40 miles of the office. The firm's very best clients
believe they have multiple financial planning issues, and they want
professional, experienced assistance with those issues.
A Friend's House is a residential facility in Bluffton, Ind.,
that provides a safe place for young women to live as they learn to address
self-harm, eating disorders, unplanned pregnancies and past abuse. The nine to
12 month program includes therapy with a licensed therapist, daily
instructional groups, life-skills training and 24-hour staff care. The entire
program is free-of-charge for residents.

Chamber Day at the State House

The Wells County Chamber & Economic Development, as part of the
Northeast Indiana Chamber Coalition, traveled to the statehouse last Tuesday for
the annual Chamber Day at the Statehouse. The group of nearly 50 participants
had a great day at the Statehouse! The group watched the General Assembly in
action, received a briefing on the Unemployment Insurance Delay bill, sat down
with the President Pro Tem and Senate Caucus, and had a discussion on
"What does Ways and Means, mean?" with current and past committee
members. The group enjoyed lunch at the Columbia Club with keynote speaker Lt.
Governor Becky Skillman.
The Wells County delegation included Suzanne Huffman, Mike Row, Phillip Stoller and Chuck King. The group was pleased to be joined at lunch with Senator Travis Holdman and Representative Jeff Espich.
