Greetings!
Now that April is behind us, we can finally relax after paying our taxes. (If you cut a check, congratulations-- That means you are making a living!)
May marks our second Digital Photographic Competition. I urge you to enter the competition. No matter what, absolutely attend to learn about DPC and listen to the esteemed judges' comments. Plus this month, we will unveil our new Canon projector. You will have the pleasure of seeing projected images that look as pristine as those on the judges' monitor. How sweet is that!
I am happy to announce that our board is on the mend. Sharon is now almost 100% after fainting and doing a face plant on the floor requiring surgery to rebuild shattered bones, and Marcia Gold is recovering from knee surgery. Thanks for your willingness to get back in the saddle and ride again so quickly for the good of PPLAC!
PPC's first quarterly board meeting in Death Valley-- 111 degrees-- a hot time-- not only temperature-wise, but a sizzling three days of education. I also took out PPLAC's brave souls to some of my favorite locations and walked them to "death", so look out for some fantastic images soon.
Last month, a number of brand new members joined. I'd like to welcome them to this fantastic group of photographers. PPLAC runs best when we all pitch in-- if you feel you have something to offer this group, we would love for you to volunteer and feel free to give us your feedback on how we can better serve you.

April Meeting Recap:

PPC is inviting members to volunteer at this August's Pro Photo Expo and Conference in Pasadena. Volunteers must commit to set up on August 8th or tear down August 12th plus serve 8 hours over the 4 day event. Incentives: a PPC polo shirt, free admission to an August 9th workshop (a $69 value), a volunteer pizza party, and the joy of giving back.
