PPLAC Members, Affiliates and Friends,

For the last several years, I have been honored to serve as President of the Board of Directors for Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County. Leading this wonderful organization  has been one of the most personally-rewarding experiences of my life. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.

As I step into the position of PPLAC's Chairman in 2012, I leave the President's seat in the very capable hands of Bob Young. As Chair of PPLAC's Print Competition Committee this year, Bob has successfully led us into the brave new world of Digital Photographic Competition. As a result of Bob's innovative skills and tireless efforts, PPLAC is viewed today as a leader in "how to do Digital Photographic Competition right". In fact, many of our regional and state
affiliates in the PPA network have taken notice of our approach and implemented similar procedures for Digital Photographic Competition in their respective organizations. I am so very proud to call Bob my good friend and colleague, and I am confident that PPLAC will continue to grow, prosper and deliver even more benefits to our members through Bob's leadership in 2012 and beyond.

While serving as President of PPLAC, I have made many wonderful friends, learned many amazing things and been blessed with the growth of my photography business beyond my wildest expectations. Why, you may ask, do I feel compelled to tell you about the growth of my business? Because I firmly believe that much of that growth is a direct result of connections made, relationships built, and lessons learned while serving as your President.

Simply stated, getting involved on the PPLAC Board, building new relationships with PPLAC members, and learning new skills through our many speaker programs, workshops and studio shares will help to accelerate the growth of your business. So, I leave you with this thought: Get involved in PPLAC's Board. I promise that your investment of time, skills and services with this wonderful organization will be returned to you, both personally and in your business, in a big way.

With best wishes to you and yours for a joyous holiday season and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Regards,
Jim Brammer
PPLAC President
