PPLAC REFLECTOR AUGUST 2011

Greetings!

As I write this I'm on my summer vacation -  shooting my way through Eastern Europe.  Recently I stumbled upon local photographers working with clients outside a church in Old Town Prague. As I watched, I was reminded of the valuable service that we provide for our Clients. Whether you shoot weddings, portraits, seniors, commercial or fine art photography, the work you do is extremely valuable to your Clients. Your images may, in fact, become priceless family heirlooms.  If you shoot commercial work, it helps your Clients position their products in the marketplace and, if you shoot fine art, it will be highly valued by Clients that collect your work.

You may have heard the old saying "work is a four-letter word". However, I contend that our occupation is not just about creating images to make money. As photographers, many of us are pursuing our passion as we work with our Clients every day. I hope that, like me, when you have the time to reflect on your business you can say that you feel truly blessed that the words "work" and "play" are in the same sentence in your life.

Regards,
Jim Brammer
PPLAC President
