Greetings!
One key element of success that keeps your Clients talking about you and coming back for more is their experience. It's not unique to photographers either. Think about how you feel when you experience a great service provider or sales transaction. In the context of a perfect experience, all the elements are aligned: the environment is warm and inviting, relaxing music might be playing in the background, "creature comforts" such as snacks and/or beverages may be provided and your service provider or sales person does all the right things to make your experience the best it can be.
Now, consider the experience you provide for your Clients. The bottom line here is an old adage that still applies, perhaps now more than ever - treat people the way you want to be treated. A positive experience with every encounter, from the first phone call to the Client consultation, portrait session or event shoot, proofing (I hope you are using projection sales) and delivery of images (including attractive, professional packaging), will leave a wonderful lasting impression in your Clients. You can be sure that this impression will result in referrals and return Clients.
As June gloom wanes in Los Angeles and the beautiful blue skies of summer finally emerge, I hope that your studio is enjoying a wildly-successful year filled with great Clients and everything you need to be successful.
