Greetings! Did you make it to Professional Photographers of California's Pro Photo Expo in Pasadena last month? If not, you missed another world-class production by PPC. Education is so key to the growth of my career - from laying the technical foundation to applying that foundation in the art and business of photography. From world class instructors to vendors on the trade show floor with the best deals in town, it was all there in Pasadena last month. You can still get in on amazing education values and great vendor deals through your PPLAC membership.
April is the first of our three print competitions for 2011, and we've gone all-digital this year. There is no better way to hone your photography skills than to receive feedback from our print competition judges, many of whom are master photographers as well. I look forward to seeing you there!
Regards, Jim Brammer PPLAC President

MARCH MEETING RECAP:
Master Photographer Jim Paliungas shared some inside secrets on his success in fashion, glamour, and boudoir photography at last month's general meeting. The Camarillo-based lenser gave tips on setting the stage for a stellar shoot-- things like fitting the shoot to the client, scouting locations, creative posing, the right wardrobe, and maximizing sales. Thanks to Jim for captivating the crowd with his visual art and photographic expertise!

PPLAC Lopushinsky Studio Share was a great success! Steve Lopushinsky is an extremely talented portrait and wedding photographer with more than 25 years' experience. On March 28th, Steve shared his great wealth of shooting and marketing knowledge, and gave us an insider's tour of his state-of-the-art studio in Santa Ana.
From the tips on pricing, selling and shooting to the impressive, custom-designed 20' high backdrop pulleys, it was an information-packed two hours. No one wanted to leave!
Thank you to Steve and his gorgeous wife Karen for a very special morning.
