Happy New Year! As we head into 2011, I hope you can reflect fondly on many successes and blessings that you enjoyed in 2010, while looking forward to even more success in the New Year. My wish for you is for a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year.
I hope that many of you plan to attend PPA's Imaging USA conference in San Antonio January 15-18. I also look forward to seeing all of you at our annual PPLAC open house on January 27.
Don't forget! Due to popular demand, starting in January-- our PPLAC monthly meetings have a new time: Networking starts at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m. See you there!

It's the biggest PPLAC social event of the year! This is the perfect time for your pro photographer friends to learn about the valuable professional, educational, and financial benefits of a PPLAC membership-- and join our amazing organization!

The winners of the coveted Aurora Award for best image and the Photographer of the Year as well as print comp category winners will be announced . 2010 Merit Prints will be displayed.
Bring up to 3 of your best images OR 2 prints and an album to share at the party. (No prints larger than 20x24: any subject, mounted, matted, no rules).
A Judge's Choice Award will be given to the best image!
Remember, you must be a PPLAC member in good standing to exhibit your work.

PPLAC Board Member Jim Akers' photo, "Getty Fire", has been chosen for exhibition at the 2011 Topanga Canyon Gallery Juried Open. The gallery show will run from January 12th to February 6th. Reception and awards are January 23rd. (Topanga Canyon Gallery, Pine Tree Circle, 120 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd. #109, Topanga, CA 90290). JIm also has six photos showing at the Blue 7 Gallery on Pico Blvd. in West L.A.
