Greetings! Continued education plays a big role in helping me stay ahead of the competition. I'm at PPC's West Coast School of Professional Photography attending Arthur Rainville's class entitled "The Five Ateliers". I'm fortunate to be here with many wonderful colleagues and fellow PPLAC members, and we're all very busy honing our skills.
As we roll into the busy summer months, I hope you are positioned to take your business to the next level as well. PPLAC has a great line- up for the second half of 2010, starting with July's digital print competition. Check out our schedule and plan on joining us for incredible learning opportunities through print competition and world-class speakers.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Regards, Jim Brammer PPLAC President

Photo illustrator, Lee Varis shared his secrets at PPLAC's June meeting!

If you missed our general meeting in June, you missed a great program by Lee Varis. As a photo illustrator working in Hollywood, Lee has been involved in commercial photography for the last 30 years, and working with digital photography and computer imaging for the last 20 years. He shared with us some of his early work in computer imaging, along with some wonderful Photoshop techniques to beautifully color-balance many different types of skin tones. Many thanks to Lee Varis for an inspirational and highly educational program!
