Dear Friend of the Press,
Today we planned to send you our first E-Newsletter. You'll see it below (a more complete hard copy to follow if you are on our mailing list). It highlights some of the amazing things happening here at Foursquare Missions Press. But first, we need to share some very sad news.
Rev. Geoff Nelson went to be with the Lord on January 5th. He was instrumental in the progress and governance of this ministry for a decade. Geoff, along with working as the Operational Coordinator for FMI, served the Press as a member of our Executive Committee. He was an exceptional leader full of great compassion and godly wisdom.
Geoff was a dear friend, not only to this ministry and our staff, but to me personally. No one was more encouraging. We all will miss him greatly. Please pray for his wife Diane, daughter Christy, son Matt, and their families.
Bob
P.S. At both the families' request and our desire to honor Geoff's memory, we are establishing the Geoff Nelson Memorial Fund. If you would like to give online click here or send your gift to:

Why Every Foursquare Church Should Support The Press
Over the last decade, church support has continued to increase, yet still, less than a third of the nearly 1,800 Foursquare churches in the U.S. support this ministry in any way. Sometimes, pastors mistakenly believe that giving to the denomination is the same as supporting the Press, or that they do not receive denominational missions giving, retirement, and compliance credit when they give directly to the Press. But why should every Foursquare church give something to this ministry? Let me give you 2 reasons. #1 We are effective.
Business people call it "Bang for your buck." For less than a nickel, you can help send the message of the Gospel to 114 nations in 57 languages. PLUS, we print and ship what the mission field requests - always creating, adapting, and customizing for every situation. This is UNIQUE among Christian literature ministries - and it's FREE (even the shipping). PLUS, our Children's Gospel Box ministry has been training and resourcing over 7,000 children's workers for free for a decade! #2 We are your family.
Though we've followed the challenge of Sister McPherson towards "the cause of inter-denominational and worldwide evangelism," our focus is assisting Foursquare leaders. Thousands of Foursquare pastors and leaders from around the world use our free materials for evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. They depend on us to provide these precious tools and we depend on our family to make it possible.
This year, when you receive one of my letters describing a project or a need, would you prayerfully consider helping us help the family overseas? Thank you and blessings to you, Bob Hunt Missions Press |

Pakistani porters unknowingly carry C-G Box materials from India into Pakistan.

Press Opens Doors To India, Pakistan
Foursquare leaders in India and Pakistan were blessed to receive training and materials from a Children's Gospel Box short-term team this last fall. Connecting with the National Leaders of each country, leaders Dave and Joy McInnis developed what is expected to be a long-term relationship between Missions Press, India, and Pakistan.
According to the McInnises, each nation has strong leaders but "lack financial resources and Gospel tools." In Pakistan, even under strict Islamic law, the Foursquare Church is bold and growing. Training and resourcing some 40 leaders was critical for a nation where 35% of the population is 14 years or younger. The leader of the Foursquare Church in Pakistan is connected with many other evangelistic churches and our hope is to eventually supply them all with free Gospel resources.
In India, the team ministered in urban and rural areas, noting that even the more advanced churches still wanted and needed children's resources and training. In the poorer, less developed areas, this was especially true. Pray as we continue to develop ways to train and resource even more leaders and workers.

Fruit From C-G Box In Honduras Continues
Children's evangelism and discipleship continue to impact thousands in San Pedro Sula through the largest Foursquare church in the world. Last year, in four children's leader seminars, 155 children's leaders were trained and given C-G Boxes. Please pray, as much more must be done to reach the children.

Philippines Reaching the Next Generation
Led by Pastor Matthew Agosto and Rev. Fred Horner this past fall, the C-G Box team to the Philippines trained intensively five national children's leaders to be full-time C-G Box representatives. These individuals are working in concert with the Foursquare Church in the Philippines to reach this entire nation that is made up of over 1,700 islands.
In the last quarter of 2011 alone, C-G Box rallies accounted for over 2,000 decisions for Christ!
