NEVER TOO EARLY for Christmas Bibles
|
Dear Friend of the Press,
I know what you're thinking - "It's too early to talk about
Christmas." Normally, I would completely agree. But for us here at
Foursquare Missions Press, this year Christmas needs to come early.
Why? I'm glad you asked.
One
of the most expensive, yet most needed, items for the mission field are
Children's Bibles, especially ones with illustrations. Last year,
working with Ted Olbrich in Cambodia, we raised funds for 5,000
illustrated Bibles in Khmer. These Bibles were perfect for children
and adults. (P.S. I'm sure they need more.)
This
Christmas, I'm asking everyone to consider this: When you Christmas
shop this year, would you consider buying a Children's Bible for the
children in Africa? Or, if you buy a new Bible for your children or
grandchildren, would you send us their used Bibles? Either way, they
will be a huge blessing, and most likely the very first Bible ever
owned by an African child.
(If the response from the U.S. Foursquare family is good, some Bibles may be sent to other developing English-speaking nations.)
And Pastors, maybe you would consider collecting Children's Bibles among the people of your church?
We'll be sending out a letter and poster, plus there is an excellent Christmas DVD (featuring Ted Olbrich and FMP) available for you, both on disc and website (click here to view).
Every child deserves a Bible!
Merry Christmas!
