It's early March, and boy are we counting the days until the snow begins to melt in the high country and passionate anglers once again focus all of their efforts and energy on chasing fish. We figured now would be a good time to get the juices flowing in all of our loyal followers with an update on 2011 angling travel opportunities as well as dates for several exciting events that are just around the corner. It promises to be a fun spring here at the shop!

Spey Clinics & Private Lessons With Ed Ward

We are very pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year, Ed Ward will Host a 2-day Skagit casting clinic here at the shop.

Ed is universally regarded as one of the pioneers of this technique and is easily one of the most qualified instructors of the Skagit Casting Technique in the world.

The first day of the clinic is conducted on the grass, focusing on the basic principles of the Skagit Casting Technique. You will learn how to practice the techniques without water (yes, it's possible), how to build grass leaders and you will build the foundation for the second day of instruction.

 

The second day consists of on the water training and refining of the technique. Both days will begin at 9:00 am and end around 6:00 pm. Lunch for both days is included in the cost of the clinic.


This clinic is limited to 10 students and the cost is $600. Last year, The ten spots booked up in two weeks time, and we had another 10 people on the waiting list. This is a great opportunity to learn the 2-hand game, and this clinic will absolutely sell out, so if you are interested reserve your spot now!

Wait, the goodness doesn't end there! Ed will be conducting 2-hour private lessons during the week leading up to the 2-day clinic for a cost of only $150. There are only 5 spots left for these 2-hour private lessons, with six spots having already sold. There are still spots available on Tuesday, April 19th and Wednesday, April 20th. These spots will sell quickly, so please book right away if you are interested.


2011 Travel Opportunities

 


We have lots of amazing travel opportunities coming up in 2011, with the list of available destinations continuing to grow all the time. The calendar has been updated with dates for the available trips. Also, the travel page of the website has been updated with more in-depth information on our most popular destinations.




Grande Ronde 3-Day Camp Float
 


Join Anglers All October 17th through the 20th, 2011 for a hosted trip to Washington's fabled Grande Ronde River - where the Steelhead are known for their affinity for surface flies and the scenery is as good as it gets in the pacific northwest. This trip is a 4 day, 3 night camp float and the cost per angler is $1600.00. The cost includes camp services - customers are not required to set up or break down camp in any way - food and guiding during the 4 days of fishing. The cost does not cover gratuities or airfare. There are only 3 spots left for this float, so act now if you are interested.

Bulkley River Steelhead - 4 Day Float   


Anglers All is currently offering 4 day float trips on some of the most remote and inaccessible stretches of the Bulkley River with guiding services provided by Frontier Farwest. We are offering fishermen a new package allowing access to the only two overnight camps available to anglers on the entire Bulkley River! These 4 day float trips have been designed specifically for anglers choosing to leave all the creature comforts of the lodge behind, and experience a true British Columbian wilderness Steelheading experience. You can fish as many hours per day as you like. There are two four-day floats available - The first is September 2-5, 2011 and the second is October 14-17. Availability is limited! Call, email or swing by the shop for additional information.

Black Canyon Of The Gunnison - 2 & 3 Day Camp Floats    


Anglers All is now booking 2 and three day camp floats in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. This is a great way to experience this awe-inspiring wilderness and the amazing trout fishing the canyon has to offer. 2-day camp floats are available for $1,200 per person, and 3-day floats cost $1,700 per person.

The cost covers guiding and all meals. Guests are not required to set up or break down camp in any way. Gratuities and travel expenses are not included. Please inquire by phone or email for remaining availability.

New Shopping Cart Online


We are pleased to announce - and many of may have already noticed - that our new shopping cart is live on the website. We think that you will find this new cart much easier to navigate than the previous cart. There is now a static navigation bar with direct access to subcategories and newly designed landing pages for all of the product categories. Please feel free to share any feedback you may have with us regarding the website, and remember to check out the closeout section online for some killer deals.  

 

Also, don't forget that all online orders of $25 or more qualify for free ground shipping. There will be lots of new products going on the site in the coming weeks as our inventory arrives for the 2011 season, so keep the mouse at arms-length!

2nd Annual Anglers All Clave!
April 16th & 17th  

Our favorite time of year is right around the corner - Tax Time! 

No, we haven't been sniffing the head cement bottles again - the first weekend after tax day means it is time to clave once again!

 

The second annual Anglers All Clave is firmly scheduled for the 16th and 17th of April, 2011. The inaugural clave event was a huge success, and we can't wait to put together an even bigger and better event in 2011. We will be posting a schedule of events on our site in the days to come, and we will send additional email notifications when everything is nailed down. Tax day can't come fast enough!
