Who is Your Ideal Client?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that everyone is coming up for air after tax season, many CPAs are looking for new business. And since I am always interested in the CPA firm's uniqueness, specialization and future plans, I take every opportunity to ask CPAs to tell me about their ideal client. This comes in handy when I meet with companies that are starting up, relocating to Georgia, or having significant growth. They are looking for business advisers, often from CPA firms, who can help them. Knowing your ideal client helps me refer the best adviser for the job. For example, Alpharesults' ideal clients are privately held companies that pay Georgia income taxes and have activities such as installing new business software, adding jobs or expanding over the past few years (remember: pay taxes and activities). Suggestion: clearly define your ideal client so that your network of business advisors can help (such as bankers, attorneys, insurance agents, tax credit consultants and others). If it's easy to remember, hopefully they will bring you opportunities for new business.
