High Performance Powder Filling Line
Cozzoli's Antibiotic Powder Filling Line consists of washing vials, sterilizing and depyrogenating, filling, stoppering, and crimping. The line fills powder from 250 mg to 3.0 gm in single dose. The line is capable of multi dose filling. Batch sizes range from 1750 vials to a maximum 33,000 vials. The required output per hour is 9000 vials of ISO 10R with one shot dosing.
The machines on the line include washing machine, model AW160, sterilizing tunnel, model ST200, unscrambling table, model UT42, powder filling machine, model PF8 with check weighing system, model CWS100, stoppering machine model RS400, and crimping machine, model CM200.

Cozzoli's Powder Fillers feature a unique dual-level supply hopper and agitator that provide a uniform level and density of material to the dosing chamber of each filling head to maximize accuracy and repeatability. Powder fill ranges of 50mg to 75 grams can be filled in a single metered dose, with an accuracy of up to +\- 1% of fill volume.

Liquid media validation capability simplifies powder media testing. Automatic filter cleaning operation eliminates filter purging waste. Totally enclosed powder pathway from hopper to vial prevents external contamination. Simple fill volume adjustments can be individually fine-tuned without tools or stopping operation. Cozzoli's innovative filling process requires no scraper blades or particle-generating components that could contaminate sensitive sterile products. There are no abrading parts within the product contact area.
