Welcome Back Scoop Fans! Looks like Saturday is going to be a wash. No reason to fret! Put on those galoshes, grab that umbrella and head down to the Square. Catch one of the new flicks at the Dedham Community Theatre, get a bite to eat or lounge around with a cup o' joe at one of the coffee shops and read your favorite book. While you're at it, check out some of the new inventory in all the unique boutiques and shops.
Please help support the independently owned small businesses in town. Did you know that 60 cents of every dollar spent in an independently owned business, like
the majority of those in the Square, is retained or recirculated in the
same community? Just one-third of that, 20 cents of every dollar,
remains in a community when it is spent at a chain store. Another great reason to "Keep it Local".

farms, specialty food suppliers and more, the market runs from 12-6
every Wednesday, rain or shine, through October 28. To learn
more about our vendors and find some great recipes click here.
Celebrity Sighting! Fox 25's Maria Stephanos was recently spotted at the Square's world famous Greek restaurant "Kouzina Estiatorio" ordering up Keftedes, Tzatziki and lemon potatoes, and has been back for more! After her last stop in to order take-out with her husband and kids, she called Kouzina to tell them just how amazing the food was. Owner Xeno Sontoulidis tells us he delivers lunch orders to Maria and co-anchor Mark Ockerbloom at the Fox 25 studio often. Talk about a celebrity endorsement!
SheepSkate Yarn & Crafts owner Eileen Kelly was recently profiled in the new Dedham Transcript. Read the piece and you'll be inspired to pick up a pair of knitting needles, even if you never have. Beginners are always welcome and

Dedham Square Happenings
It's Show Time! Opening tonight at The Dedham
Community Theatre are two new films everyone's talking about.
A SERIOUS MAN: Larry Gopnik (Michael Stuhlbarg) is a
physics professor at a 1960s university, and his life is coming apart at the
seams. His wife (Sari Lennick) is leaving him, his jobless brother (Richard
Kind) has moved in, and someone is trying to sabotage his chances
for tenure. Larry seeks advice from three different rabbis, but whether anyone
can help him overcome his many afflictions remains to be seen. A film by Joel
and Ethan Coen that has critics everywhere claiming it's the must-see movie of
MOTHERHOOD: From writer/director
Katherine Dieckmann, the acclaimed filmmaker of "Diggers" and "A Good Baby,"
comes "Motherhood," starring Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards and Minnie Driver.

ambitions on hold to raise her two children, Eliza lives and works in two
rent-stabilized apartments in a walk-up tenement building smack in the middle
of an otherwise upscale Greenwich Village.
Eliza's good-natured but absent-minded husband (Edwards) seems tuned out to his
wife's conflicts, not to mention basic domestic reality, while her best friend
Sheila (Minnie Driver) understands this - and Eliza -- all too well. This movie is getting great reviews!
