This year has been economically challenging for many of us, and it has definitely struck WITS as well.  The Yeshiva really needs our help with the enormous amount of scholarship that it raises.

 

WITS is honoring its first two graduating classes this year, the class of 1984 (Rabbi Yerachmiel Askotzky, Rabbi Mordechai Cohen, Howard Kwass,and Mark Marshall)  and the Cass of 1985 (Steve Askotzky, Mendel Gottesman, Rabbi Simcha Guttman, Ricky Kramer, and Peter Runge).  Click here to view some WITS photos from 1984-1985.

 

WITS is having its 29th Anniversary Annual Banquet on June 14th.  WITS has done so much for us and our fellow alumni.  It has helped fashion many of us into Bnei Torah and has assumed the financial responsibility for so many of us in the process.  If it wasn't you who was the benefactor of WITS generosity in giving of scholarship funds, it was certainly one of your classmates and friends.

 

WITS annually grants approximately $300,000 of scholarship money to its students.  This is money that WITS needs to raise for the overall operating budget.  Our goal as the alumni association this year is to raise $150,000 towards this scholarship money.  The alumni have given $100,000 to date- which still leaves us with a goal of $50,000 more to raise.  You can always view how the what point of the goal the alumni have reached at www.witsalumni.com.

Alumni have really joined together to support WITS' future and hope that you can do the same.  Every alumnus has the opportunity to make a difference, and we would love to do it together. If you already participate in the monthly giving program, WITS is grateful and would like your participation in the journal as well.
