Alumni Making A Difference
Todd and family

Todd Cohn(Class of 1995), City Director of NCSY and JSU moved back to his home town of Kansas City.  His NCSY chapter is considered the most successful in the country with over 200 participants.  This past summer he was the director of a summer program in Israel for public school kids.  Additionally he has helped start a Yeshiva day school and bring in a kollel and served as the youth director of his shul for 8 years.  He and his wife Naomi have three kids.  "There's a special magic to WITS that I still feel when I think back to all the great times I had with guys.  I've said it before but Rabbi Cheplowitz really had no reason to accept me to his yeshiva.  I'm convinced that it was out of rachmanos.  But I want to go on record as saying I really attribute what I've become in life to my experience at WITS.  The rebbeim collectively gave me the resources, direction and inspiration I needed to go out to the front lines of assimilation and work on behalf of Klal Yisroel."

The annual January WITS Ski Trip was a blast as usual- we still haven't had any alumni make it to the winter olympics, and it may have been too cold to ski this year for more than half an hour, but everyone had a great time.  It didn't bother the high school that Wisconsin skiing isn't exactly Veil, Colorado.  Wisconsin may not have the best skiing, but if you look at the picture you'll see it has some of the best chevras.  View web album for more pictures.
Enjoy the rest of the newsletter and please RSVP to the February 9th Melava Malka in New York at alumni@witsyeshiva.com
