This past Thursday night, October  11, R. Krohn, in Milwaukee to speak at TAM's groundbreaking ceremony, graciously agreed to give WITS talmidim the privilege of
hearing him speak.  50 high school students and 20 Basi Medrash talmidim attended, and were rewarded by a great speech.  R' Krohn generously spoke for 45 minutes, despite the late hour-11:00 PM, and having just spoken at the TAM groundbreaking. 

The central theme of the speech was the invaluable worth of every single Jew and the respect and sensitivity due to another Jew that follows from an appreciation of his or her inherent importance.  The following is a sampling of some of the points Rabbi Krohn mentioned- A Ramban describing how in taking a census of the Jews in the midbar, Moshe personally greeted each and every Jew, R'Gifter noting that the Hebrew word for pupil is ishon, which means little man, and conveys to us when speaking to others we should view ourselves as the "little man" and speak respectfully.  Rabbi Krohn also dealt with the sensitivity that others must be treated with, the respect we must treat each other with, and the power and impact of a simple, pleasant greeting. 

The event was a rare opportunity for the talmidim to be inspired by one of the foremost speakers in the Torah world.
