Calling All 4th Grade Parents!
There will be a Parent Meeting on Monday, October 29th to discuss the Sutter's Fort Environmental Living Program. The meeting will be held in the Library at 7:00 pm.

This is an informational meeting for parents only. For those of you who are not familiar with this
program, the Sutter's Fort Environmental Living Program allows students to relive a part of history. The students, along with program directors and trained parent helpers, will spend 24 hours (from May 2nd - May 3rd) as a living museum, portraying characters of 1840s California at Sutter's Fort, Sacramento. Those involved partake in the various trade activities and entertainment of the era. Weekly courses will be held on Wednesdays, February 27th - May 8th (12:45 - 2:00pm) in the MUR. This experience is one you and your child will never forget.

For questions, please contact Program Directors:
Kelly Gallagher at kelgallagher@gmail.com
or Jill Olivier at jillolivier@yahoo.com

Library Book Club
by Laurel Burns

The library is once again sponsoring the Library Birthday Book Club. A new hard cover book will be donated to the library in honor of each child who donates $15 to the club. The book will be presented to the student during his or her library time. A custom book plate will be placed inside the book with the child's name and birth date, and it will become part of the library collection to be enjoyed for years to come. If you would like to participate, please click here to fill out the Library Birthday Book Club form. Thank you for supporting the library!

Deadline for PTA Reflections is 10/29

Is your child creative? Each year, kids create art works inspired by a common theme in the National PTA Reflections art program. See the official flyer here. Your child will participate with hundreds of thousands of others all over the country! (Students are recognized at the local level before moving on to regional and national levels.) Encourage your child to use his/her imagination! It's more about creative interpretation of the theme than about technical skill. Visit this site to find out more about this year's program.
