Email Correction for Available PTA Positions
If you're interested in getting involved in the PTA's Ways & Means division, please contact Marcie Colbath at vpways@strandwood.org.
There are currently two coordinator positions open, both requiring two people each. Volunteers will "shadow" the current coordinator(s) this year, and then take over their positions for the following 2013-2014 school year. We currently have some dedicated folks who will show you the ins and outs of the program(s), so don't fret if you have never volunteered before.

Read & Dream Forms Due Tomorrow

Just a reminder that Read & Dream logs are due tomorrow! Please have your log turned in by
3:00 p.m. You may turn them in to the office or see your child's teacher for instructions specific to their class. We're so proud of all of our Read & Dream members, and will reward them with a book on Friday, October 5th. Happy Reading!

September Box Tops Due Tomorrow

The deadline to turn in Box Tops collected this month is tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 28th.
Collecting Box Tops is such an easy way for parents and kids to help our school raise money. Here's how:
1. Purchase Box Tops products and clip the Box Tops coupons found on them. Collect them in a bag and at the end of each month, total up the quantity and send the Box Tops to school with your child.
2. Sign up for eBoxTops here. There are a dozen ways to continue to earn eBoxTops online.
Each month we will present an award to the child who collects the highest number of Box Tops by the deadline. The child with the most Box Tops will earn a gift card to Jamba Juice and a lovely certificate! For additional information, please contact lalenas@gmail.com.

Strandwood Costume Swap Coming Up!

Join us in celebrating National Costume Swap Day on Oct 8th!
Collect any costumes you no longer use. Find all their parts & package them up in a bag or box. Drop your costumes in to the labelled boxes by the Multi-Use Room (MUR) over the next couple of weeks. Then come back to the MUR on Monday, Oct 8th, between 2:00-3:30 p.m., and pick up a new costume! It's that simple!
Anything not swapped will be donated.
