Attention 5th Grade Families
A Word from Pleasant Hill Middle School

It is never too early to get involved with your child's school! Great opportunity to meet the staff who directly impacts your children and the parents who share your desire to get the best education available for your children! Let your voice be heard and join the PTSA at Pleasant Hill Middle School!

The nominating committee presents the PTSA Slate of Officers for consideration to the General Assembly of the Pleasant Hill Middle School for the 2012-2013 calendar year as follows:

President - Steve Oldenbourg

1st VP Communications - open

2nd VP Programs - Jasen Jeffrey

3rd VP Fundraising - Stacey Schiager

4th VP Student Liaison - open (elected by peers of incoming Leadership class)

Secretary - Jennifer Murov

Treasurer - Alicia Jeffrey

Auditor - Diane McIver

Historian - open

First VP Communications responsibilities include relaying information to the Executive Board of activities/events occurring at the school, participating in Executive Board meetings and General Assembly meetings. Major responsibility is for the All in One Day event that occurs prior to the start of school. Many duties for that event include overseeing the volunteer coordinators, collating, printing and organizing the paper work to be sent home to parents of students during the summer. The VP oversees a team to assemble the packets to be mailed out via a bulk mailing. Shadowing of current VP to see how the whole event evolves is key to success in this position.

Historian responsibilities include taking "attendance" at all meetings, recording volunteer hours and keeping records organized of past minutes, events and occurrences that involve the school.

If interested in either of these positions, please contact Carla Kiesler at ckiesler@comcast.net

Get peace of mind by knowing where your child is at all times: Download the Find My Kids app to locate his whereabouts via GPS and check if he's arrived at his destination. Remember to tell your child that locator apps are important for his protection-and not an invasion of privacy.
