College Park Winterfest
|
|
College Park High School invites the community to Winterfest.
Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 7:00 to 9:00pm at College Park High School for Winterfest, an event that celebrates all of the visual & performing arts at College Park. There will be a concert in the gym featuring vocal performances by the Mixed Chorus and Concert Choir as well as instrumental performances by the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. Concurrently in the multi-use room, the visual arts students will display original artwork from ceramics, glass, photography & art classes. Some of the students offer art for sale.
Come see the very talented teens in our community and get a glimpse of the opportunities for future students of College Park. Bring the whole family! There is no charge for this event |

Target Red Card
By Cindy Turner
|
|
Do you have a Target Red Card yet? Now the Target Red Card saves you 5% on every Target shopping trip, every day!
Apply and get approved for a TARGET credit card (it only takes 5 minutes at the check-out). Enroll in Take Charge For Education and designate Strandwood as your school. Start shopping and using your card. Target will track purchases and send a donation check to the school. Currently, we have only 35 or so families participating in the program but we received a check last year for almost $600!!!! This is the easiest money we've ever made - passive fundraising at its best!!
For more information, go to the PTA website and click on the TARGET icon or click here.

Any child can master the art of polite behavior. Just give it time; it will be rewarding when others note your child's respectful demeanor. Here are tried-and-true tips on how to help kids remember good manners on a daily basis.
